Made for UAE homes
Elephant Bush (Portulacaria afra) makes a room feel alive.
Thick red stems and small round jade-green leaves on a succulent that behaves like a shrub — it clips into shape, trails over a pot edge, or grows on as a 1.5m bush. Near-zero water, and genuinely non-toxic to cats and dogs, which almost no other succulent of this size is. Indoors in bright light or outdoors in sun to part shade. Water every 2-3 weeks; overwatering is the only way to lose it.

In UAE homes: Rare combination here: a shrub-sized succulent that is genuinely non-toxic to cats and dogs, tolerates AC air, and clips into shape like a hedge plant.
Watering figures are ranges, not schedules — pot size, light and the season shift them. Check the top 2-3cm of soil and water only when it is dry. From the UAE Plant Index.

Elephant Bush (Portulacaria afra): common questions
Is elephant bush safe for cats and dogs?
Yes. Portulacaria afra is non-toxic to cats and dogs, which makes it unusual among shrub-sized succulents — jade plant (Crassula ovata), which it closely resembles, is toxic to both. If pet safety is the deciding factor, this is the one to buy.
Can elephant bush live indoors in an air-conditioned flat?
Yes, in the brightest spot you have — a window sill or within a metre of a south or west window. It tolerates dry AC air well and wants watering only every 2–3 weeks indoors. In a dim corner it stretches and loses the compact shape.

Why buy from us
Grown for UAE homes, not just sold here.
Most plants sold in the UAE were grown outdoors, moved indoors, and handed over in a grow pot with no aftercare. We acclimatise ours to air-conditioned air first, pot them properly, insulate them against the drive, and stay on WhatsApp after the box is open.
