Plant gifts in Dubai and the UAE
To send a plant as a gift in the UAE, pick one that matches how much attention the recipient will realistically give it — a snake plant or ZZ for anyone who travels, an orchid when it needs to look like an occasion, and pet-safe species only if there is a cat, dog or toddler in the house. Add your message at checkout, enter their address, and it arrives in an insulated box with a care card and no price anywhere in it. Same-day in Dubai before 1pm, next-day to Abu Dhabi and Sharjah.
Which plant to send, by occasion
| Occasion | What to send | Why it works here |
|---|---|---|
| Housewarming / new apartment | Snake plant or ZZ plant | Survives a new tenant who travels, forgets to water and has not worked out the light yet. The gift that is still alive at the next dinner party. |
| Eid and Ramadan | Orchid collection or a scented plant | Flowering and presentable straight out of the box, which matters when it is opened in front of guests. Order early in Ramadan week — delivery slots fill. |
| New baby | Pet- and child-safe plants only | Spider plant, areca palm and Boston fern are on the ASPCA non-toxic list. Avoid pothos, monstera and peace lily — all irritate if chewed. |
| Office / colleague / client | Desk plant or a premium office bundle | Low light, low water, no smell and no mess. For client gifting we can deliver to several addresses from one order. |
| Romance and anniversaries | String of hearts or a scented plant | Lasts years rather than the five days a bouquet gets in a UAE summer, which is the whole argument for a plant over flowers here. |
| Someone who kills plants | A gift card | Let them pick their own light level and pot size. Delivered by email once payment is confirmed, with a message from you. |
How plant gifting works
- 1
Pick the plant, not the wrapping
Every plant ships in an insulated box with a care card, so it arrives presentable without extra gift packaging that ends up in the bin.
- 2
Add your message at checkout
Type the gift message in the order notes and enter the recipient's address as the delivery address. We never include a price anywhere in the box.
- 3
We WhatsApp the recipient, not you
The driver coordinates directly with them so the surprise holds and nobody has to be home guessing at a delivery window.
Delivery is free on every gift order (minimum order AED 300). Sending it today? See same-day plant delivery in Dubai.

Sending plants as gifts, answered
Is a plant a good gift in the UAE, compared with flowers?
It lasts far longer here. A cut bouquet in a Dubai summer is done in four or five days, while a snake plant or ZZ given as a housewarming gift is still in the room years later. The trade-off is that a plant asks something of the recipient, so match the plant to how much attention they will actually give it.
Can I send a plant gift without the price showing?
Yes. No invoice, receipt or price appears anywhere in the box or on the outside packaging. The recipient sees the plant, your gift message and a care card. If you pay by card the confirmation email goes only to you.
Which plants are safe to gift to a home with cats, dogs or a toddler?
Stick to the ASPCA non-toxic list: spider plant, areca palm, Boston fern, calathea and parlour palm. Avoid pothos, monstera, peace lily, ZZ and snake plant — all contain irritants that cause drooling or vomiting if chewed. Our pet-safe collection is filtered to the safe list.
Can I gift a plant to an address in Abu Dhabi or Sharjah?
Yes, next-day on the full catalogue. Dubai addresses get same-day delivery if the order is placed before 1pm. The Northern Emirates receive hardy plants and planters within 48 hours, so choose a snake plant, ZZ or cactus for a gift going to Ajman, RAK, UAQ or Fujairah.
What if the recipient does not like the plant or it arrives damaged?
Send a photo on WhatsApp within 24 hours and we replace it free under the alive-on-arrival guarantee — the recipient can message us directly without involving you. If the plant simply is not right for their space, we will swap it for something that suits their light.
Do you do corporate plant gifting to multiple addresses in Dubai?
Yes. Send us the list of addresses and the budget per gift on WhatsApp and we quote as one order with one invoice, delivered across whichever days you need. Branded care cards are possible on larger runs.
Not sure what they would like?
Tell us the occasion, the budget and whether they have pets. We will pick it and write the card.
