How long do Phalaenopsis orchid flowers last indoors in the UAE?
Often two to three months per flower spike in an air-conditioned home, which is why an orchid outlasts cut flowers many times over as a gift. Keep it in bright indirect light and out of the direct AC stream.
Are orchids safe for cats and dogs?
Yes. The ASPCA lists Phalaenopsis (moth orchid) as non-toxic to cats and dogs, which is why it carries our pet-safe badge. A cat may still chew the flowers, so place it where the blooms will not be knocked over.
