How much does a bird of paradise plant cost in Dubai?
Bird of paradise prices are set mostly by height and fullness. A tall plant with several fans of leaves has taken years to grow, needs a large pot and is awkward to move without tearing the leaves, so a floor-standing specimen costs far more than a small tabletop one. We sell one size, the Bird of Paradise - Large, grown as a statement plant for a bright room or a shaded terrace.
The price is for the plant in its 30cm nursery pot. A decorative planter is optional: the product page only offers pots that fit that root ball, and the large size in our floor planters takes 21–30cm nursery pots. Heights are approximate and vary a little from plant to plant.
Delivery is free on every order, and large plants are carried to the room you want them in rather than left at the door. You can pay by card or by cash on delivery (a 50% advance on a WhatsApp card link, 50% cash at the door), and the same goes for both sets in the table.
Before you buy, check you have the light: a bird of paradise needs the brightest spot in the home, and it is toxic to cats and dogs. Our bird of paradise care guide covers light, watering in AC and why it rarely flowers indoors, and Monstera or bird of paradise helps if you are choosing between the two.

Is a bird of paradise worth the price for a Dubai apartment?
It is if you have the light. Beside a bright south- or west-facing window it grows quickly for a floor plant and fills a corner no smaller plant can, which is why designers use it. In a dim room it stops producing new leaves and slowly declines; there, a large Monstera or a tall snake plant is the better buy for the money.
Which bird of paradise is sold as a large indoor plant?
Strelitzia nicolai, the giant white bird of paradise. It grows tall with big, banana-like leaves and is the species sold as large indoor specimens. Strelitzia reginae, the smaller plant with the orange-and-blue crane flower, is the one seen in flower arrangements; it needs years of maturity and strong direct sun to flower, which makes it a garden plant rather than an apartment one.
