# Sago Palm (Cycas Revoluta)

A living fossil, near-indestructible

- Price: AED 229 (was AED 299)
- Availability: in stock, ships same day in Dubai on orders before 1pm
- Delivered size: approx. 60-80 cm tall · 28 cm pot (estimate)
- Botanical name: Cycas revoluta
- Pet safety: not pet-safe — Cycasin — severe liver failure in dogs, often fatal, and the seeds are the most toxic part. Do not plant where a dog can reach it.

Not a true palm but a cycad — stiff glossy fronds in a perfect rosette, growing a few centimetres a year and living for decades. Full sun, very little water, no fuss. Important: every part of the sago is highly toxic to dogs and cats if chewed — do not buy this one for a pet household.

UAE note: Extremely tough in UAE conditions and extremely dangerous to dogs. We will not recommend it for a garden where a dog is loose — choose a Foxtail Palm instead.
