# Neem Tree (Azadirachta indica) — 30Ltr

The desert's own shade tree

- Price: AED 169 (was AED 229)
- Availability: in stock, ships same day in Dubai on orders before 1pm
- Delivered size: approx. 160-200 cm tall · 40 cm pot (estimate)
- Botanical name: Azadirachta indica
- Pet safety: not pet-safe — Leaves and seed oil are toxic to cats and to dogs in quantity; the fruit stones are a choking risk.

Neem is the tree that made Dubai's early greening possible — it survives 48°C, poor sandy soil and brackish irrigation, and throws dense evergreen shade while doing it. Supplied at 30-litre grade. It also earns its keep: neem leaf and oil are the basis of the organic pest spray we sell for balcony plants. Full sun, deep water weekly for the first summer, then fortnightly. Give it 5m of clearance.

## Care in UAE conditions

- Watering: Weekly deep soak in the first summer, then fortnightly
- Light: Full sun. Evergreen canopy in UAE conditions
- Temperature: Handles 48°C and light winter cold without damage
- Humidity: Tolerates dry desert air and coastal humidity equally
- Soil: Poor sandy soil is fine; tolerates mild salinity
- Feeding: Optional. One granular feed in October is plenty

UAE note: Survives 48°C, sandy soil and brackish irrigation better than any other shade tree sold here — the species that made early Gulf greening projects work.
