# Ficus Nitida Hedge — 5 Plants

The standard UAE privacy hedge

- Price: AED 549 (was AED 729)
- Availability: in stock, ships same day in Dubai on orders before 1pm
- Delivered size: approx. 80-100 cm per plant · 25 cm pot (estimate)
- Botanical name: Ficus microcarpa var. nitida
- Pet safety: not pet-safe — Milky sap irritates skin and causes vomiting in cats and dogs if chewed.

Five ficus nitida at 1 metre — around 2.5 metres of instant screening, and the plant nearly every villa boundary hedge in the UAE is made of. Dense, fast, evergreen, and it takes hard clipping. Full sun to part shade, deep water twice weekly, trim every 6–8 weeks. Keep roots away from paving and pipework.

UAE note: The UAE's default privacy hedge and the densest formal face available — but the thirstiest option here, with vigorous roots, and it browns badly within salt-spray range of the Gulf.
