# Carissa (Natal Plum) Hedge — 5 Plants

A clipped hedge that flowers and fruits

- Price: AED 299 (was AED 399)
- Availability: in stock, ships same day in Dubai on orders before 1pm
- Delivered size: approx. 50-65 cm per plant · 20 cm pot (estimate)
- Botanical name: Carissa macrocarpa
- Pet safety: not pet-safe — Stems carry sharp forked thorns; the unripe fruit and sap cause stomach upset.

Five carissa macrocarpa plants at 50cm — enough for roughly 2.5 metres of hedge at recommended spacing. Glossy dark leaves, white scented flowers, red edible fruit, and heat tolerance that puts it in every UAE landscape spec. Full sun, water every 2 days while establishing. Note the paired thorns when clipping.

UAE note: Thorny, drought-tolerant and scented, with edible ripe plums — the hedge to use when the boundary has a security job as well as a screening one.
