# Golden Trumpet (Allamanda)

Big yellow bells, fast cover

- Price: AED 69 (was AED 89)
- Availability: in stock, ships same day in Dubai on orders before 1pm
- Delivered size: approx. 60-80 cm tall · 20 cm pot (estimate)
- Botanical name: Allamanda cathartica
- Pet safety: not pet-safe — Every part is purgative — the species name is literal. Sap irritates skin; ingestion causes serious vomiting and diarrhoea in pets and children.

Allamanda cathartica scrambles over a fence or trellis and covers it in large golden trumpet flowers through the warm months. Fast, cheap green cover for a bare boundary wall. Full sun, water every 2 days, prune hard in late summer. Sap is a mild irritant — wear gloves when cutting.

UAE note: Big yellow trumpets right through the hottest months on full sun, which almost nothing else manages. Genuinely toxic, so place it away from where children and dogs play rather than not at all.
