# How much do indoor plants cost in Dubai? A price guide by size

In our range, a small shelf or tabletop plant in a 12cm pot costs AED 49 to 89, a mid-size plant in a 14cm pot AED 69 to 149, a floor plant of 60cm to 1.3m AED 129 to 299, and a statement plant over a metre, usually with its planter, AED 629 to 799. Prices include VAT, delivery is free anywhere in the UAE, and the order minimum is AED 300. Size, not species, is what moves the price most.

## Why this guide only uses our own prices

Plant prices in Dubai are hard to compare. Nursery yards quote by the bag and negotiate, garden centres price by the shelf, and online shops rarely say how tall a plant is when it arrives. Rather than quote other shops' numbers we cannot check, every figure on this page is taken from our own live catalogue on the day it was published. The product page always shows the current price; if a number here ever disagrees with it, the product page is right.
What you can take from it is the shape of the market: which size brackets cost what, why the jump from a shelf plant to a floor plant is so large, and what to check before you compare our price with anyone else's.

## Small shelf and tabletop plants: AED 49 to 89

These are the plants in a 12cm nursery pot, usually 25 to 60cm tall on arrival. They are the cheapest way to add green to a room, and several of them are among the toughest plants you can own in an air-conditioned apartment.

- [Spider Plant](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/spider-plant): AED 49, pet-safe, trailing.
- [Golden Pothos](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/golden-pothos): AED 55, the plant most people in the UAE call a money plant.
- [Aloe Vera](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/aloe-vera) and [String of Hearts](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/string-of-hearts): AED 59 each.
- [Lavender](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/lavender): AED 69.
- [Snake Plant 'Laurentii'](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/snake-plant-laurentii): AED 89, the priciest in this bracket because it is slow to grow and arrives 45 to 60cm tall.

## Mid-size plants: AED 69 to 149

Step up to a 14cm pot and you are paying for a fuller plant, and in some cases for flowers. This bracket runs from the [Boston Fern](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/boston-fern) at AED 69 and [Calathea Orbifolia](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/calathea-orbifolia) at AED 79, through the [ZZ Plant](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/zz-plant) at AED 95, [Peace Lily](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/peace-lily) at AED 99 and [Chinese Evergreen](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/chinese-evergreen) at AED 109, to the [Red Anthurium](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/red-anthurium) at AED 149. The [Orchid](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/orchid-collection) is also AED 149: its pot is small, but you are paying for a flowering plant whose blooms last for months.
Flowering plants and slow growers sit at the top of the bracket. Leafy, fast-growing plants sit at the bottom, because a grower can bring them to saleable size quickly.

## Floor plants: AED 129 to 299

This is where most people feel the jump. A floor plant arrives in a 17 or 21cm nursery pot and stands roughly 60cm to 1.3m tall. The [Rubber Plant](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/rubber-plant) is AED 129, the [Monstera Deliciosa](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/monstera-deliciosa) AED 145, the [Areca Palm](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/areca-palm) AED 165 at 1 to 1.3m, and the [Fiddle Leaf Fig](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/fiddle-leaf-fig) AED 299.
The fiddle leaf fig costs nearly double the areca at a similar height for a simple reason: it grows more slowly and needs more careful handling to reach you with its big leaves unmarked. If you want height for the least money, a palm is usually the answer. If you want one sculptural focal point, the fig is worth it, but read the [fiddle leaf fig care guide](https://heavenlyplants.ae/care/fiddle-leaf-fig) first, because it punishes a spot next to an AC vent.

## Statement plants: AED 629 to 799, and one at AED 2,699

Above a metre, and usually with a large planter included, prices move into the hundreds. The [Bamboo Palm privacy rectangle](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/bamboo-palm-privacy) is AED 629 at 1.5 to 1.8m and comes in a long fibre planter. The [tall Snake Plant in a fibre floor pot](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/snake-plant-tall-fiber) is AED 799. The [Bird of Paradise, large](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/bird-of-paradise-xl), 1.4 to 1.7m, is also AED 799. The whole bracket is in our [statement plants collection](https://heavenlyplants.ae/collections/statement-plants).
At the top of the range is the [Premium Olive Tree XL](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/premium-olive-tree) at AED 2,699, 1.6 to 2m tall in a 45cm pot. It is mainly a terrace and entrance tree and needs full sun to thrive. For an olive indoors or on a table, the [Olive Tree Table Plant](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/olive-tree-table) is AED 349.

## Why bigger plants cost so much more

A plant's price follows the years it spent at the grower, not its leaf count. A 1.5m plant has taken up bench space, water and labour for much longer than a 12cm cutting, and it weighs more to move, pack and deliver. Large plants also need more room in the van and more care in transit, which in a UAE summer matters.
Two practical results. First, if you are patient, a mid-size plant in a good spot grows into a floor plant in a season or two. The [Golden Pothos](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/golden-pothos) and the Monstera are the fastest here. Second, if you need impact on day one, for a new apartment, an office opening or a gift, you are paying for the grower's time. That is a fair trade, but it is one to make on purpose.

## Pots, soil and sets

The plant is not the only cost. Our white ceramic pots are AED 69 for the 13cm size, which fits our 12cm plants, and AED 119 for the 20cm size, which suits 17cm plants such as the Monstera. [Premium potting soil](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/premium-potting-soil) is AED 35 for 5 litres, enough to repot two or three plants. The full range is under [pots and planters](https://heavenlyplants.ae/collections/pots-planters).
Sets cost less than buying the same items one by one. The [Small Beginner Set](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/small-beginner-set), a snake plant, pothos, aloe and a 13cm pot, is AED 237 against AED 272 separately. The [1-Bedroom Apartment Set](https://heavenlyplants.ae/products/one-bedroom-set), four plants plus the 20cm pot, is AED 409 against AED 467.

## Delivery, the AED 300 minimum and paying on delivery

Delivery is free anywhere in the UAE. There is no delivery fee to add at checkout, and prices already include 5% VAT. Instead of a fee there is an order minimum of AED 300, because below that we cannot deliver a live plant across the UAE and keep it in condition. The full breakdown by emirate is in [how much plant delivery costs in Dubai](https://heavenlyplants.ae/questions/how-much-is-plant-delivery-in-dubai).
In practice, AED 300 is one statement plant, a floor plant with two or three smaller ones, or one set. A few real baskets from the range:

- Low-light corner: Snake Plant 89 + ZZ Plant 95 + Golden Pothos 55 + Chinese Evergreen 109 = AED 348.
- One focal plant: Fiddle Leaf Fig 299 + Spider Plant 49 = AED 348. The fig alone is AED 1 short of the minimum.
- Furnish a flat: the 1-Bedroom Apartment Set at AED 409.

## How to compare a price fairly

Before you set our price against a shop or a nursery yard, check four things: the height on arrival (every product page gives an approximate range), the nursery pot size, whether delivery is really included, and what happens if the plant arrives damaged. Ours is covered by the [alive-on-arrival guarantee](https://heavenlyplants.ae/questions/alive-on-arrival-guarantee-how-it-works) and a 14-day settle-in promise.
Cash on delivery is available: half is paid up front by a card link we send on WhatsApp, and the other half in cash when the plant is in front of you. For a straight comparison of nurseries, garden centres and online shops, read [where to buy plants in Dubai](https://heavenlyplants.ae/blog/where-to-buy-plants-in-dubai-nurseries-vs-online), then browse the [indoor plants collection](https://heavenlyplants.ae/collections/indoor-plants) with the brackets above in mind.

## Frequently asked questions

### What is the cheapest indoor plant Heavenly Plants sells?

The Spider Plant at AED 49 in a 12cm pot. It is pet-safe and copes well with dry AC air. Because of the AED 300 order minimum it is usually added to a larger order rather than bought alone; delivery on that order is free.

### Why is a fiddle leaf fig more expensive than an areca palm of the same height?

Growing time and handling. In our range both arrive at roughly 1 to 1.3m, but the fiddle leaf fig (AED 299) grows more slowly and its large leaves mark easily in transit, while the areca palm (AED 165) reaches that height faster and travels more easily.

### Do Heavenly Plants prices include VAT and delivery?

Yes to both. Prices shown include 5% UAE VAT, and delivery is free on every order anywhere in the UAE. The only condition is an order minimum of AED 300.

### Is it cheaper to buy a plant set than the same plants separately?

Yes. The Small Beginner Set is AED 237 against AED 272 for the same four items bought separately, and the 1-Bedroom Apartment Set is AED 409 against AED 467.
