**Short answer:** The Spider Plant, Areca Palm, String of Hearts and Phalaenopsis Orchid are the best pet-safe indoor plants for UAE homes. All four are non-toxic to cats and dogs and cope with air-conditioned air. Avoid Snake Plants, ZZ Plants, Pothos, Monstera and Peace Lilies, which are all toxic if chewed.
